What is coaching?

Coaching has become a popular topic in recent years, but it’s not a new method. Over the last 15 years, we have worked with a wide range of professionals, creatives, athletes, thespians and entrepreneurs to help them reach their goals, perform better and live happier, more abundant lives.Being successful in our careers or hobbies is partly down to the skill we possess and partly down to our mindset surrounding the skill. For example, we could be a very talented sprinter, but if we tell ourselves over and over again that we probably won’t win the race, we’re more likely to lose.


What can coaching help with?

Coaching can help anyone who has a goal they would like to achieve, this doesn’t have to be professional, it can be a personal goal too. See below a list of common areas we’ve supported clients using coaching:

Career - Changing career, starting a new business, trying to improve your professional performance or working towards a promotion

Health - Working towards a particular health goal, wanting to increase fitness or maximise our physical performance

Motivation - Requiring a boost of motivation to help us work towards a particular life goal such as attending university, completing home study, starting a new career or beginning to date

Work balance - Needing some support to learn how to manage stress and ensure we have a good work-life balance so we can be happy and fulfilled in all areas

Relationships - Working on improving our attitude to dating and relationships to help us confidently handle the dating world or helping improve our attitude towards an existing relationship to help us commit or take it to the next step

Self-confidence - Addressing our issues with self-confidence, self-image issues and self-esteem to enable us to respect ourselves and feel worthy of achieving our goals

Communication - This includes public speaking, communication in a professional setting or helping to establish healthy communication skills with friends and family

Corporate coaching - Needing to learn the skills to handle situations in the corporate world, and the confidence to appear professional and in control at all times

How does coaching work?

At Hampshire Hypnotherapy and Counselling Centre, we combine Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapy with traditional Coaching methods to achieve a quick, genuine and long-lasting change. This involves working together on identifying any emotional or psychological obstacles and eradicating them through coaching combined with the hypnosis element to reiterate the new behaviour to your subconscious. Your coach will help you to develop your motivation, courage and desire as well as helping you cultivate the tools of self-belief you need to achieve your goal.

If the issue you’d like to address is straight forward and simple, we may achieve your goal in 1-3 sessions. If the goal or issue is more complex and we can also develop a more long-term relationship to support you through your journey. There will also be work given in between sessions such as relevant reading or viewing and some writing exercises to support you on your journey. Our coaching sessions are designed to help you be proactive, motivated and overcome any obstacles so you can live the life you’ve always wanted to.
